Summary: Mathew Desmond followed multiple, diverse families from Milwaulkee, and their tough journeys after being evicted. The chain reaction of not having housing, paying for a storage company, and asking friends/family for money is hard to fathom.
Takeaways: This book highlights the push and pull of poverty and privilege. Many anecdotes overlapped with my experience working at a Community Action Program where I heard daily the need for stable, safe, affordable housing.
